The Scream Pietra Dura Mosaic Panel

This Pietra Dura mosaic reimagines Edvard Munch’s iconic masterpiece “The Scream” through the medium of natural stone. Each gemstone—lapis lazuli, jasper, rhodochrosite, marble, nephrite, and petrified wood—was carefully chosen for its color and texture to convey the emotion and tension of the original painting. The intense blues and ochres, contrasted with the warm tones of stone, recreate the movement of sky and water, while the figure is sculpted in shades of marble and jasper. Handcrafted with exceptional precision, this mosaic stands as a vivid tribute to one of the most powerful artworks of modern art.
