The “Florence” Pietra Dura mosaic celebrates the charm and harmony of the Tuscan landscape through the artistry of gemstone inlay. The composition combines the soft texture of sandstone and jasper with the rich greens of malachite and serpentine, capturing the sunlit balance of architecture and nature. Blue lapis lazuli and violan enhance the depth of the sky, while delicate details in aventurine and onyx add contrast and precision. Each stone fragment is shaped and polished by hand, forming a vivid gemstone portrait of Florence’s timeless beauty.
